again from the Holidays. I didn't really do much on the holidays. I'm glad I'm back at school. This term we are learning about the human body. So far we have learnt about the main bones in your body. In your body there is 206 bones but when your a baby you have about 300 bones. As you get older, these bones fuse together so it becomes one.Now we are focusing on the muscles. I hope we will get to learn heaps and I can't wait till our excursions!

What I might be doing in the holidays
I'm not really sure what I'll be doing in the holidays but I'm pretty sure I'll just sit back and relax! I also might be having friends come over to my house. I might also go on the computer on msn and ask my friends how's life and what have you been up to. Basically nothing much, just a simple and relaxing holiday.
TASTY FOOD!
2009 Term 3 Senior School Camp at Forest Lodge
Fun and excitement always held when the senior school have their camp at Forst Lodge Farm. All the activities were thrilling and exciting and everyone was willing to have their second go.
The bus drive was absoultely BAD! Three hour drive! Basically all I was doing was sleeping, staring in air and waiting for the time to pass as quick as possible. After hours and hours of drive, I finally heard Mrs. Sharp say, " We are there! See all these farm animals?" I was just so excited that my heart missed a beat.
At Forest Lodge Farm everywhere was green and there were heaps of animals. Some of the cute little chickens ran towards me, HOW CUTE WERE THEY??? One of the white roosters reminded me of my rooster named Popcorn at home. There was one chicken that looked like Custard(my other chicken) and one that looked like Chocolate(my other chicken too).
GLUEY GOOP!
On the first week of school our class made Gluey Goop. Gluey Goop is made of glue, water, Borax Powder all mixed together but in a special method. The one my group made was stretchy at first but when we put our hands on it, the whole thing turned stiff and hard. The class had fun making it!
It was really fun making it and it felt funny when I squished it with my hands.I think I had squashed it too much and the Goop took shape of the lines on my palms. It looked like a squashed brain. When I got home I accidentally left it in water...I thought it was going to be bad but when I got back to see it, it wasn't a squashed brain anymore. YAY!!
TERM 3
again. I didn't really write much in the previous term because I slacked off a bit. This term we will be learning about Energy. So far we leant about Chemical Energy and made Gluey Goop, mixing subtances and looking at different chemical reactions. Gluey goop was my favourite, the Goop was all slimy, sticky and stretchy. Mine looked like squashed brain at the start but at least it doesn't now of my never giving up!!! I hope we will learn more and have fun when learning about ENERGY!
Term 2 Review
In Term 2 we learnt about water. We had some one called Ben come in who taught us the water cycle, the different levels of ground water and lots more. The highlight of Term 2 was our school production called 'The Blue Mermaid' On the night the audience had cheered and clapped, it was a great time of joy...
We learnt heaps more about water but it wasn't really as much as I thought. It was still a interesing topic.
TERM 2
again. This term we are learning about water. So far it is still early in the term so we haven't learnt much about it yet, but i do know that Victoria is out of water and we are having a drought! I'm sure everyone will have fun learning about water. There is not much i know but here are some ways to save water: * Use a cup while brushing your teeth *Use recycled water to water your plants * Put a bucket under the tap so you can catch water instead of letting it all go down the drain. These are just a few tips but I'm sure I will know more later on. Some facts about water: Water is important for us to do many things in our daily lives, we need water to drink, wash our hands, brush our teeth, wash our face, have shower, wash food, make soup, etc. In Victoria water is running out, we are on a drought! With out water we can not survive at all, not even for a week! Sadly there are some water wasters who waste water and do silly things with it OCCASIONALLY. The things they do may include using hoses and splashing the water around just for fun, others may play with water guns and shoot them at people. Sometimes people leave the tap open when they brush their teeth and let all the precious water is all washed down the drain.
This should be about all i know i guess, Maybe i will learn heaps more soon!
Winter Interschool Sports
Yes! Another day of Interschool sports with out having to do class work(ahaha) Today I must say is our lucky day.... All teams had won! Well I was in the netball A team. Our game started off with Waverly Meadows shooting the first goal but it didn't really bother US...we kept on going and going. After the first set we were beating them by heaps and in the end of the game we bet them with the score 14-24! GO US!!! Everyone had a...
Tuesday evening, Brandon Park Primary School open night. There were many games and free sausage sizzles(tasty)! In the hall there was the giant twister game where we had to put or feet and arms in different coloured circles without letting you bottom touch the ground, it hurt my legs badly! Next there was Science in the middle school classrooms, we dropped water ontp some paper and traced around it with coloured textas. In the other middle school classroom there was dropping some water onto some streamers on top of some white paper. It makes colours onto the white paper. It was taking too long just dropping water so i simply dipped the streamer into the water and dabbed it all around. HAHA! My picture will worth $100,000,000,000(maybe not!) The bad thing is the ink made my fingers all black and colourful and it was hard to wash off:(. The next place was the quiz in the senior area, My team was called we rock and we got 9/10 questions correct, pretty good! Last of all was Bingo, the sad thing was after rounds of playing I didn't even get one tile on! I completed all these things so I got a principal's award sticker. me.
The day I have been waiting for to thank my Mum for taking care of me, I gave her presents and she adored them and I think she loves everything I give her!Mum!
TERM 1
This term we are learning about Aboriginals and Multiculturalism. Our class painted dot art paintings and did a lot of research about Aboriginal people and their way of living. For homework one time we had to design a disc cover for Aborginal dreamtime stories. There was also an incursion with a Aboriginal named Murrindindi who came to talk to us about his life and lots of other things. I think it is very educating and I really enjoy it and I'm sure that everyone will too!
This term(term 1) we are learning about Aboringinals and multiculturalism. We had an incursion with Murrindindi who was a famous Aboriginal to come and talk to us about his life, culture. Murrindindi also taught us how to throw boomerangs, I watched other people throw them and miss. I kept coommenting on what they could of done in order to catch them but when it was my turn to throw the boomerang I didn't catch it at all! Maybe it wasn't as easy as i thought it was. Murrindindi also talked to us about his life for the first forty years. He was bullied of his skin colour and was treated badly. Murrindindi's first wife didn't show him repect either so they divorced. He married again and his second wife showed him respect, after all that he had a happy life.I learnt that respect was very important after Murrindindi told us about his life. Murrindindi also played the digeridoo for us and we sang songs in his language.I liked it how the songs were just nice and simple. Murrindindi also told us about his tribe, how he was the leader of it.He showed us his possum skin coat and Murrindindi told us that the leader(more important people) of the tribe wore it( the possum skin coat looked really warm!) We also drew the main symbols Murrindindi's tribe used and he explained to us all what each symbol meant. After all that adventure it was finally time for the dreamtime stories. One of the stories was about a boomerang. While I was listening i felt like falling asleep because the dreamtime stories really made me feel'dreamy' Murrindindi's visit was fantastic but this had all come to an end. It was the end of the day and Murrindindi had to go. Everyone was excited, I think the incursion was really good and I didn't want it to end and I'm sure that's what everyone thinks. Term 1(review)We did heaps of activities and research on Aboriginal people. Aboriginal people were very nomadic people. They know how much food to hunt for with out killing all of the animals and having none left in the bush. Although they had a simple life in the bush, many troubles that we can not seek. Aboriginal people have to suffer with racism, people teasing them because of their skin colour, white men taking over their land bringing out diseases around the area. Many Aboriginals died because of that. The stolen generation gave them a huge threat. Government from the white men took half caste children at a very young age to go do missions and leanr about White men that wasn't even their culture. They were also forced to forget about the past, family and country! After the missions, many Aboriginal people went back home looking lost and didn't know where their families were. Many languages had die out after this. During this term, everything was very educational and i'm pretty sure everyone had fun learning about Australian Aboriginals. Everyone has learnt a lot and is looking forward to the new subject in term 2.
