Science...
This term as a project the senior school are working in a partnership or by themselves
to perform a science experiment to the class. I am with Amy and we are doing two
science experiments they are: Stickey Ice Cube, and Jumping coin.
We are both looking forward to try them out.
MCG...
WOW! The senior school had just got off the bus to go to the MCG. We were booked ini for a tour
and to go to the NSM (National Sports Museum). First we went for the tour and we got to walk down
onto the groung at the goal posts which was pretty awsome. Our tour guide Ken told us that the massive
light towers hold 125 light which if one of them stopped working a worker had to climb up the massive tubes
and Ken said 'that it takes them 45 mins to climb up and 45 mins to get down.
We soon went down the escalators to see the indoor cricket pitch where the cricketors practice before the game.
Ken also said that 'the lights that the cricketors play under adjust to the light that is outside. So if it was a cloudy
day the lights would adjust.' Soon after we had finished there, we headed outside which you could see most of the city.
Once we had finished the tour we moved into the Sports Museum. We had half and hour to walk around the museum, a few of us saw the James Herd hollowgram which was pretty awsome. Half and hour was up and then we moved into the 'Interactive' room which had: Football. soccer, archery and much more. We all had a great day out and we wish to do it again.

This term we are learning about energy. This week we have resently done a sience experiment
which was called Gluey Goop. We had to mix Glue and water in a seperate cup and
borax powder with water in another cup. then when the glue got thicker we had to pour a little
bit or borax powder in. Then we had to keep stiring it until there wasn't much water left, then you had
to tip out the rest of the water. then the goop was finished. Everyone was playing with their goop
at play time and in class! I think everyone enjoyed making the goop!

This week we did and experiment which was making an Straw Obode. With the straw you had to
cut to slits up the top facing each other but not touching. the you had the cut three other slits all the way down
then you had to blow through the top of the straw and cover one of the holes when you blow through it.
Term 2!
This term we are learning about 'Water'. When you use water you have to save it in some way... e.g:
When having a shower: 4 mins or put a bucket under were all the water is coming down from.
You could have a water tank in your back-yard.
Water you garden with your washing machine water or from you water tank!
What not to do:
Have showers no longer than 4mins
Don't water (wash) your garden, diveway or paths!
DON'T WASTE WATER!!!
Infomation:
In the whole world there is only 1% of pure water!
In the out-back of Australia there is a draught and it is not helping the farmers that
grow vegetables bacause the ground is to hard.
All the dams are running out of water because of the
heat beacause water evapourates in the sun.

This term we are learning about Australian Aboriginals. On Friday the 6th of March
the senior school had Murrindindi come and talk to us about the Aboriginal culture and history! We also got to go outside and
through Boomerangs... I nearly caught it but I missed it by... that much!!! Murrindindi also said: Digeridoo is called the Yiki-Yiki!
Murrindindi works at Healsville Santuary, and plays the didgeridoo!
